About Goe
I'm Goe Cooper, an experienced and creative independent civil celebrant offering a wide range of bespoke ceremonial services.
Throughout my career, I have always worked in roles that involve connecting with people from my years as a Registrar for births, deaths, marriages, and other ceremonies, to my time as a funeral director. These experiences have given me a deep understanding of the importance of life's milestones and a wealth of knowledge in supporting families through them.
It was the combination of these roles that inspired me to become a celebrant. Having worked closely with families during some of life’s most significant moments, becoming a celebrant felt like a natural progression. So, in 2018 I created and delivered my first funeral ceremony.
For over 20 years, I’ve had the privilege of writing and delivering a wide variety of personalised ceremonies, including weddings, naming ceremonies, vow renewals, commitment ceremonies, and funerals. Each one is crafted with care, creativity and attention to detail.
Whether celebrating a life just begun, a life well lived, or a lifelong relationship, I will create a unique and meaningful ceremony that reflects your values, beliefs, and story.
I’m based in Gloucestershire and happy to travel to neighbouring counties.
